About me!
My name is Sara Hannani, and I have been living and working in the Netherlands since 2015.
My professional journey began with studying psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where I graduated in 2019 with a focus on clinical psychology. Since then, I have been working as a psychologist within the Dutch mental healthcare system, and in 2025, after completing a two-year postgraduate training, I am working clinically as a licensed psychologist (GZ-psycholoog).
I mainly treat mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. I also work with adults living with ADHD or autism.
My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Schema Therapy.
An important part of my work, besides therapy, is psychological assessment and diagnostics, including:
• Diagnostics of developmental disorders (ADHD and autism in adults)
• Diagnostics of personality disorders
Years of experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, along with my own experience as a migrant in Europe, have given me a deeper understanding of the psychological challenges faced by migrants – particularly Farsi speakers.
